2025-2026 Academic Year
I mentor incoming graduate students through the Graduate Student Research Institute (GSRI), helping them build networks, access resources, and develop key skills to thrive in graduate school. I also support students in reflecting on their experiences and fostering more inclusive, welcoming STEM environments. Through this role, I share my own perspective as a researcher navigating academia and provide guidance on both professional development and personal growth. Ultimately, my goal is to help students feel confident, connected, and prepared as they begin their graduate journey.

I successfully mentored a student through the STEP-UP Research Program, guiding them in developing and executing a comprehensive scientific research project over a 10-week period. I facilitated regular interactions and participation in lab activities, overseeing the preparation of abstracts and presentations for the NIH STEP-UP Symposium.

I designed creative and interactive tests for regional and statewide middle school and high school science competitions. Additionally, I proctored tests in Forensics and Crime Busters in both the Los Angeles Region and the Inland Empire Region.
December 2021-June 2022
September 2023-May 2024
